Across the road from my office is an Artisan Bakery and café. This is part of The Clervaux Trust, who give support and training to young adults.

The café has been open a few years and I have been in to have lunch ( pre vegan days) so when I found myself at work and my lunch back home on the kitchen worktop, I headed to see if there was anything that I could get to eat.

The staff were incredibly helpful and although there was nothing on their menu that I could have, one young lady  popped off to the kitchen had a quick chat with the chef and then said that they would rustle me up a salad.

They serve soya lattes , so I sat down to enjoy my coffee.

​

About 5 minutes later this amazing salad was put down in front of me.

Not only was everything fresh and mostly home grown , but the presentation was exceptional.

They change their menu to suit the seasons ( admirable) and make the most amazing bread.

​

If you are ever in Darlington why not try it.
